Our History

Parbatigiri Bal Niketan, Patharchepa came into existence on 15th August, 1995 being inaugurated in the holy hands of the then Collector, Balangir Mr.C.J.Venugopal, I.A.S., The objective of the Bal Niketan is to provide institutional services i.e, shelter, food, clothing, education, medical care, recreation and rehabilitation etc to the destitute children. Starting from the fine morning of the day its inception it has stepped forward and forward and never looked back with its incessant endeavor for a noble cause.

At the outset, this organization started working with 26, girls and boys capacity of 50 children which has now gone up to 52 children among them 36 no's of girls and 16 no's of boys during the financial year 2021-22. In this regard enormous support and cooperation of Child Welfare Committee and District Child Protection Unit is praiseworthy.

We have to go long way which is not possible for us alone. As the world is not static and it is dynamic, so the time, man & organization march, not also but an organization may enhance on their activities with the help of others.

1. In the financial year 2020-21, 11 no's of children's Institutionalized to CCI.
2. In the financial year 2020-21, 14 no's of children's Deinstitutionalized from CCI to their families.
3. In the financial year 2021-22, 5 no's of children's Institutionalized to CCI.
4. In the financial year 2021-22, 12 no's of children's Denstitutionalized from CCI to their families.
